12:30 p.m.: Session with Dr. Kelly Hyland: Distress Tolerance: skills to make things just a little bit better
This mini-session will teach easy-to-use strategies to manage lung cancer-related stressors and symptoms. Even if you cannot totally get rid of the stressor or symptom, distress tolerance skills can help you to calm your body and mind so that you can cope better. This can make a big difference!
We will focus on a tool called IMPROVE the moment, which focuses on ways to make things just a little bit better. You will learn about the science behind the skill, then engage in applied practice so that you feel confident using the skill on your own!
