Education & Training

Setting the stage for future breakthroughs

At MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, we continually update our practices to provide the most up-to-date care possible–while also keeping our eyes on the future.

Tomorrow’s researchers and care providers are today’s students. Preparing them to think critically about how to answer questions about how cancer develops and grows, how to solve problems faced by our friends and neighbors in South Carolina, and how to treat cancer with precision and compassion is integral to our mission.

Further, we extend our education and training beyond Hollings, offering access to Grand Rounds to oncologists and researchers throughout the state, traveling to counties throughout South Carolina for community education sessions, and working in partnership with other universities to offer cancer-focused courses.

Graduate through early-career programs

Hollings supports a number of fellowship programs through both external and internal funding. These programs enable graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, early-career researchers and clinicians to deepen their cancer knowledge.
