Expert cancer care, close to home

At MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, we believe that all South Carolinians, regardless of where they live, deserve the same high-quality cancer care.

Through the MUSC Health Regional Health Network, we are working to bring fellowship-trained cancer specialists to communities throughout the state.

Many of our physicians also offer telehealth visits for initial consults, second opinions or follow-up care and work closely with community oncologists to coordinate care.

Our goal is that no South Carolinian should have to leave the state for lifesaving cancer care – and preferably, people should not have to leave their community. While MUSC’s academic campus in Charleston serves as the hub for cancer care in the Charleston area and for highly complex or rare cancers from across the state, most people will be able to access MUSC’s care close to home.

Where is MUSC opening new cancer care locations?

MUSC Hollings Cancer Center and MUSC Health have several new and upcoming locations around South Carolina. 

Lowcountry

• A new comprehensive cancer hospital in Charleston, planned for 2030.
• Oncology care in Bluffton. (Now open!)
• Oncology care in Nexton in the Summerville area (Clinics now open!) with an ambulatory cancer facility planned for summer 2027 that will include surgical oncology, radiation oncology and medical oncology.
• Oncology care in Clements Ferry. (Now open!)

Pee Dee

• A new oncology facility in Florence, planned for mid-2027.

Midlands

• A new outpatient oncology building in Indian Land, planned for 2027, along with a full-service inpatient hospital, planned for 2028.

Parking Information

Parking at many of our cancer treatment locations across the state is provided free of charge. Parking at our main Charleston location is paid.

At our main Charleston campus, patients and visitors can choose between self-parking in a garage or valet parking.

Self-parking at MUSC in downtown Charleston

Self-parking is $0.75 per half hour, with a maximum fee of $3 for outpatient visits if your ticket is validated. The maximum fee is $6 per day for people visiting a hospitalized patient, if you provide the patient’s last name and room number to the cashier.

The nearest garage to MUSC Hollings Cancer Center is the Jonathan Lucas garage.

If you are receiving treatment in another building, another garage may be closer. Check the map to determine the best place to park.

Valet parking at MUSC in downtown Charleston

Valet parking is $12. Valets are available at the entrance to MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, Ashley River Tower and Rutledge Tower. 

Downtown campus shuttle

A free patient and family shuttle can transport you between MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, Ashley River Tower, MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital and Rutledge Tower. The shuttle stop at Hollings is on Jonathan Lucas St. on the same side of the street as the Hollings building just across Sabin St.
