Radiation Therapy Treatment Options

Radiation medicine (also called radiotherapy, radiation therapy or radiation oncology) is a cancer treatment that uses high doses of radiation to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Over the course of your treatment, the cancer cells will die or slow their growth and other symptoms caused by the tumor will lessen. We have a wide variety of modern technology enabling us to treat our patients with cutting-edge techniques and advanced clinical protocols and we are guided by the latest innovative research and clinical trials. Our treatment options include:

  • TrueBeam STx
  • Gamma Knife
  • Tomotherapy
  • Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT)
  • High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy
  • Low Dose Rate (LDR) Brachytherapy
  • Intravascular Brachytherapy
  • Prostate Seed Implant
  • Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
  • Total Body Irradiation

See our technology and treatment page for more details about all of the options we offer.

Radiation Therapy Survivorship Clinic

Our Radiation Therapy Survivorship Clinic provides care after you have completed your radiation treatments and need long term follow-up care. Our survivorship clinic includes patients with many different cancers including prostate, breast, lung and gastrointestinal. Our goals are to manage both immediate and long-term side effects from radiation treatment, help you to be sure you're up to date on screenings and care for other health conditions, and conduct any recommended exams for signs of a potential cancer recurrence.
