MUSC Transdisciplinary Collaborative Center in Precision Medicine and Minority Men's Health

The overarching goal of the Medical University of South Carolina Transdisciplinary Collaborative Center (MUSC TCC) in Precision Medicine and Minority Men’s Health is to determine the most effective ways to integrate, interpret, and apply biological, social, psychological, and clinical determinants of disease risks and outcomes into more precise medical strategies to prevent, diagnose, and treat chronic health conditions and diseases.

Program Goals

  • To establish a consortium that supports the active engagement of diverse stakeholders in precision medicine and health disparities research.
  • To conduct translational research to understand the interaction between biological, social, psychological, behavioral, and clinical factors and health care and disease outcomes among minority men.
  • To support the dissemination of evidence related to precision medicine and health disparities.
  • To integrate data on biological, social, psychological, and clinical factors to validate findings from prospective TCC research.
