Survivors' Fit Clubs
MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, in partnership with the MUSC Wellness Center, offers 10-week Survivors' Fit Clubs geared toward the unique physical and behavorial health needs of cancer survivors. The clubs focus on improved fitness, self-esteem and quality of life factors. Programs are currently offered for breast cancer survivors, gynecologic cancer survivors, prostate cancer survivors and head and neck cancer survivors.
Hollings Head and Neck Cancer Support Group
Meet with other head and neck cancer patients and caregivers in a supportive environment. This group meets in a hybrid format; you may join online or in person.
- Hear from a different specialist each month with expertise in various aspects of head and neck cancer, including physical therapy, behavioral health and more.
- Connect with other patients facing similar challenges.

The Head and Neck Cancer Support Group meets 5:00–6:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month. To attend in person at the Charleston Hope Lodge, 269 Calhoun St., RSVP to whitfis@musc.edu. To attend virtually via Microsoft Teams, please register online.
Caregivers Support Group
Family caregivers often take on nursing duties, financial responsibilities and the weight of worries about the future while also continuing with typical household and family responsibilities. The caregiver support group is a safe environment to talk with others in similar situations.
This group meets virtually at 1 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month. To receive a link to the group, email Hollings social worker Jalesa Green at grejal@musc.edu.
CanCare
CanCare is a nonprofit cancer support service with a mission to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors and their families. CanCare consists of a network of trained volunteers, including survivors, family members of survivors and medical professionals who provide emotional support, information and cancer-related resources.

Greater Charleston Ostomy Association Support Group
This group helps those who have an ostomy, as well as their family members, caregivers and friends. The group meets 12 – 2 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month at the Roper St. Francis Cancer Center in West Ashley (2085 Henry Tecklenburg Drive). Dragon Boat Charleston
Dragon Boat Charleston (DBC) has been redefining cancer survivorship since 2003. By fostering strength and resilience in a compassionate support network, we nourish the mind, body, and spirit through the sport of dragon boating. There’s no membership fee for cancer survivors, and we have all the gear you’ll need. You can join us anytime throughout the year, and each Spring, we host a 6-session introductory paddling session for cancer survivors.
DBC is a non-profit whose mission is to promote the physical and mental wellness of cancer survivors and their community through the sport of dragon boating. Some call it a floating support group. Some call it a family. Whatever it is…it’s life-changing! Join us!

Blood Cancer Support Group
This online group, sponsored by Blood Cancer United, addresses specific issues related to a blood cancer diagnosis. Attendees will be provided with an opportunity to discuss concerns, anxieties, and feelings related to illness, treatment and other issues.
Meets virtually 2-3 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month — no meeting in December.

Lung Cancer Initiative Survivor Engagement Support Group
Lung Cancer Initiative is a nonprofit organization that specializes in connecting patients, survivors, and loved ones with support through their online survivor luncheon series, held the second Thursday of every month. Summerville YMCA Livestrong Program
The Summerville YMCA Livestrong program is a small group physical activity and wellbeing program for both cancer survivors and those going through treatment. The 12-week program meets twice a week for 90-minute sessions and offers a safe and supportive environment to enhance wellbeing through physical activity and socialization.
