Behavioral Health Innovations Lab

The Behavioral Health Innovations Lab, led by Jennifer Dahne, Ph.D., aims to develop better methods for studying behavioral health issues and treatments that will improve health and well-being. Many of our ongoing studies focus on increasing access to high quality, evidence-based treatments for quitting smoking, quitting vaping, and depression management. We are also developing innovative approaches to make clinical trials more accessible to people living all across South Carolina and beyond. Through our research, we hope to reduce and eventually eliminate barriers to participating in clinical trials and to receiving effective behavioral health treatment.

Dr. Dahne is a member of the Addiction Sciences Division within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at MUSC and of the Cancer Prevention & Control Program within MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center. Her research studies have been funded by the National Cancer Institute, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the National Institute of Mental Health, and the National Center for Advancing Translational Science. Dr. Dahne and her team also contribute to research projects within MUSC’s Telehealth Center of Excellence, funded by the Health Resources & Services Administration.
